Frank Onyeka will be desperate to put an end to his Liverpool jinx as he eyes his first win in five Premier League games against the Reds whom Brentford meet on Sunday.
After kicking off the season with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace courtesy of Yoane Wissa’s winner, the Bees now face a very difficult-looking trip to Anfield.
For the most part, Thomas Frank’s side haven’t enjoyed their games against Liverpool since making their Premier League bow with Brentford winning just once in recent years.
They won 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium but things have certainly been more difficult at Anfield with Brentford yet to register one Premier League goal at the Stadium.
That has in a way affected Onyeka whose record after four matches against Liverpool reads one draw and three losses as he chases his 25th win in 69 Premier League fixtures.
Onyeka who played for only six minutes during Brentford’s 2-1 victory over Palace last weekend scored one goal and provided two assists in 26 Premier League games last season.
