Victor Osimhen will earn €6 million at Galatasaray

Galatasaray upon announcing the loan signing of Victor Osimhen on Wednesday following the completion of his medical tests revealed the striker will earn €6 m in the 2024-2025 season.

“Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. reported to the Public Disclosure Platform that an agreement was reached for the temporary transfer of professional football player Victor James Osimhen without a fee,” the club wrote.

“The following statement was made regarding the matter: An agreement has been reached with professional footballer, Victor James Osimhen and his club, SSCN Napoli SPA for the temporary transfer of the player free of charge.

“The football player will be paid a net seasonal salary of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season. It is respectfully announced to the public.

“Galatasaray’s new transfer, Osimhen, underwent health checks at our sponsor hospital, Medicana Health Group. Galatasaray Football A Team officials were also present during the checks.”

The 25-year-old Super Eagles striker agreed to a move to the Turkish Super Lig giants on Monday night after certain personal demands were agreed to by Napoli and Galatasaray.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray President, Dursun Aydın Özbek has said that Osimhen is a very important transfer for Turkish football.

Özbek said this after the club officially announced on Wednesday that it had reached an agreement on the temporary transfer of the Nigerian.

“Victor is a very important transfer for the club and Turkish sports. Especially in our struggle in Europe and our goal of becoming the fifth star in Turkey, we have very high expectations from him.

“I am sure he will meet these expectations. As a Galatasaray fan, having such world-star footballers in our club pleases me, the board of directors and our fans a lot.

“I wish him success. Hopefully, he will make a great contribution to our struggle this year,” Özbek said with the Turkish Super Lig club extremely happy to sign him.
