The agent of Victor Osimhen, Roberto Calenda has said that his client still has so much to do in Europe.
Calenda said this following media reports linking Osimhen with a summer transfer to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia.
“Victor is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets,” the agent said.
“Victor still has so much to do IN EUROPE. Osimhen is a Napoli player with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction.
“He made history and when there were major offers (also this year), we always accepted the club’s decisions.
“Victor was elected African footballer of the year and finished eight at the Ballon d’Or. There is need for respect and balance.”
Meanwhile, according to Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano on Monday morning, Osimhen will not accept Al Ahli’s offer.
“Victor Osimhen is not accepting Al Ahli’s proposals as he required a very important salary and release clause,” Romano said.
“The release clause is crucial or the deal will not happen at all, sources confirmed as revealed yesterday night.”
On the other hand, Nigerian sports photo-journalist, Sulaiman Adebayo known as Pooja said Osimhen will not be going to Chelsea this summer.
Pooja Media as he is known on X made this disclosure through a post he shared on Saturday morning.
“I will always be grateful to God that I was the one that broke the biggest transfer new this transfer window,” Pooja wrote.
“Victor Osimhen IS NOT GOING to Chelsea this summer transfer window. Brick by brick!!! Growth.”
Chelsea was reportedly the only club left in the transfer race to sign the Super Eagles striker from Napoli.
Paris Saint-Germain had been strongly linked to the Nigerian international this summer with Arsenal and Bayern Munich also showing interest.
With Harry Kane now at Bayern and Arsenal unwilling to sanction such a marquee signing, PSG and Chelsea were the teams properly tipped to sign Osimhen.
PSG, however, decided to move away from pursuing a deal for the 25-year-old, leaving Chelsea as his only suitor.
Napoli remain adamant he will not be at the club for the upcoming campaign with the latest update from sporting director, Giovanni Manna.
Manna suggested that the stance is still in place, especially with coach Antonio Conte having brought Romelu Lukaku to Napoli.
“He asked to leave,” Manna said earlier this month as quoted by Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio.
“We are calm because we have players in the squad who can replace Osimhen in the best way possible.
“However, we do not want to harm the integrity of the group and want to preserve it. We will see what will happen in the next few days.”
