Captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman and five other players have stormed the Super Eagles camp in preparation for two 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe disclosed this in a statement on the WhatsApp account of the team.
“Super Eagles camp update: Seven early birds touch down in Uyo 10am Monday morning,” Efoghe wrote.
“The players on ground are William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Olisa Ndah, Taiwo Awoniyi and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.”
Nigeria will play host to the Republic of Benin in their first 2025 AFCON qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The team will then proceed to Kigali to battle Rwanda in their second qualification match on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
