There Is Global Poverty: President Tinubu Motivates Nigerians

In a heartfelt declaration by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu, on Monday, June 17 in Lagos, addressed a delegation from the National Assembly who had come to extend their Eid-el-Kabir greetings.

Acknowledging the widespread poverty and suffering, President Tinubu emphasized the urgency of confronting these trials head-on.

“Indeed, there is poverty and suffering in our land. We are not alone in this struggle, but we must confront our challenges directly. We must eradicate banditry and terrorism to ensure our farmers can bring forth their harvest. Without good roads to transport this food, we lose 60-70% to damage, and we all bear the cost,” he asserted.

He passionately urged Nigerian citizens to change their mindset for Nigeria to rise above its adversities.

“The mindset of rent-seeking must transform into one of economic productivity. We must end smuggling and all forms of economic sabotage. Why do we tolerate the theft of rail tracks and electric cables, undermining our economy?

We must champion a campaign to reform our value system. We must instil in our people that overcoming our nation’s challenges requires a collective shift in our mindset towards our country,” the President declared.
