Finland-based pro-Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa, has debunked the claim by the Enugu State government and the Nigerian Police Force that 27 alleged criminals, including his supporters, were killed in the state.
Ekpa described the 27 persons reportedly killed by the security agencies as “innocent Biafrans.”
In a statement on Wednesday from Governor Peter Mbah’s media office, the Enugu State government disclosed that security agencies had killed no fewer than 27 criminals terrorising the state, including some followers of the Finland-based Biafra agitator.
The statement noted that the criminals were eliminated over two weeks during different security operations, where they engaged security operatives in gunfights.
Reacting to the statement, Ekpa stressed that the 27 persons killed were not his supporters but innocent people.
According to him, the Enugu State government is engaging in propaganda to justify its offensive attack on citizens.
“This is false and lies. Not only that, it has exposed Nigeria as a failed state and a country that has failed to uphold human dignity. Simon Ekpa has no boys in Enugu; you have killed innocent Biafrans to prove a point to Abuja,” he said.
