Ammi was allegedly murdered on January 4, 2024 by her husband, Abubakar Musa, 43, in the Bra Bra Housing Estate, Damaturu.
Chairperson of CSN, Altine Ibrahim, in a statement in Damaturu, yesterday, said the police should thoroughly investigate the murder to ensure speedy dispensation of justice.
According to her, Ammi was murdered beside her husband with a sharp weapon on Thursday.
It was also reported that the husband has been detained by the police, in connection with the killing.
“We were informed of the tragic incident that occurred, and women are deeply troubled by details surrounding the death of our member,” she said.
She said it is a cause for grave concern, given that women are no longer safe, even while asleep on a bed with their husbands.
She noted with dismay the concerns expressed by several women over increasing cases of gender-based violence in the state.
The CNS boss, therefore, called on the state government and security agencies to protect all women and girls.
While commending the police for the ongoing investigations, she said: “We charge the police to leave no stone unturned and ensure that perpetrators of murder face the full wrath of the law.”
