President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left the United Kingdom for Paris, France, where he is scheduled to attend a significant engagement.
His departure follows a stay of more than a week in the UK.Ibrahim Kabir Masari, the Senior Special Assistant on Political and other matters to the President, shared the update on Friday via his X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Today, I had the privilege of meeting President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at his private residence in the UK, where we held productive discussions.
We then proceeded to Paris, France, for another crucial engagement,” Masari announced.
However, the specific details of the engagement in Paris remain undisclosed.
It will be recalled that President Tinubu left Nigeria on October 2 for a two-week working vacation in the UK as part of his annual leave.
His trip has drawn public attention amid the country’s ongoing economic challenges. During his absence, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to N1,030 per litre, further exacerbating the financial strain on Nigerians.
