Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will not participate in another debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“There will be no third debate!” Trump stated emphatically on Truth Social, referring to his June debate with President Joe Biden as the first and his recent Tuesday debate with Harris as the second.
After their latest debate, Harris’ campaign had reportedly called for an additional round. However, on Wednesday, Trump indicated on “Fox & Friends” that he was unlikely to agree to another debate with the network.
On Thursday, Trump confirmed his decision, citing what he described as a clear victory in the previous contest, which many viewed as favorable for Harris.
“When a prizefighter loses, their first instinct is to demand a rematch,” Trump wrote, implying no need for a third debate.
