Real Madrid forward, Endrick, has explained why he chose to shoot rather than pass to Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Junior during their 3-1 victory over Stuttgart on Tuesday night.
The reigning Champions League winners kicked off their title defense with an impressive win at home. Mbappe opened the scoring for Madrid, but Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav quickly equalized.
Madrid regained control with goals from Antonio Rudiger and Endrick, securing all three points for the LaLiga champions.
In the buildup to the third goal, Endrick broke free with both Mbappe and Vinicius available on either side, but he opted to take the shot from distance.
When asked about his decision after the game, Endrick said, “I knew Kylian and Vini were there, but at that moment, the best option was to shoot.”
