President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated seven new ministers into his cabinet at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja. This follows their confirmation by the Senate on Thursday, where each nominee was individually screened and approved.
The ministers took their oaths of office in two groups—four in the first batch and three in the second—after their profiles were read by Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House Director of Information.
The first group of appointees includes Idi Maiha (Minister of Livestock Development), Yusuf Ata (Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development), Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad (Minister of State, Education), and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (Minister of State, Foreign Affairs).
The second group consists of Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment), Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), and Muhammadu Dingyadi (Minister of Labour and Employment).
This swearing-in follows a significant cabinet reshuffle on October 23, when President Tinubu reassigned 10 ministers to new roles, dismissed five others, and nominated seven new ministers for Senate confirmation.
