Victor Osimhen’s anticipated transfer from Napoli to Chelsea has fallen through.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker had been linked with a move to the Blues, despite significant interest from Al Ahli.
However, Osimhen was unable to reach an agreement with the Premier League club, leaving his future uncertain as he remains sidelined by Antonio Conte at Napoli.Conte has opted to bring in Romelu Lukaku to spearhead his attack this season.
With the Saudi Arabian transfer window closing on Monday, September 2, there is still a slim chance that Osimhen could leave Italy.
Al Ahli are prepared to pay Napoli between €75-80 million for Osimhen and have offered him a four-year contract, which would see him earn around £33.6 million (€40 million) per season, or £646,154 per week, tax-free.
