Gareth Southgate has secured his first role since stepping down as England manager following Euro 2024.
The 53-year-old resigned after eight years at the helm, following England’s loss to Spain in the final.
However, Southgate won’t be out of work for long, as UEFA has appointed him as a technical observer for the upcoming Champions League season.
In this role, he will attend matches and share his insights with UEFA’s analysts at their hub in Nyon, Switzerland.
Southgate will also be responsible for filing detailed reports on games, tactics, and individual performances.
The newly reformatted Champions League is set to begin on September 17.
