Chelsea forward Noni Madueke playfully teased his teammate Cole Palmer after Palmer’s standout performance in the Blues’ 4-2 victory over Brighton on Saturday.
Palmer was in top form as Chelsea triumphed over the Seagulls at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Despite Brighton’s early lead through Georginio Rutter in the seventh minute, Palmer quickly responded with a hat-trick to turn the game around.
He equalized in the 21st minute, gave Chelsea the lead with a penalty in the 28th minute, and completed his hat-trick with a brilliant free kick in the 31st minute.
Although Carlos Baleba pulled one back for Brighton in the 34th minute, Palmer added a fourth goal in the 41st minute from a pass by Jadon Sancho, restoring Chelsea’s two-goal cushion.
With his four first-half goals, Palmer made Premier League history as the first player to achieve such a feat.
Following the match, Madueke humorously shared a picture of himself celebrating with Palmer on social media, captioning it with the playful remark, “How greedy!”
