Palestinian death toll rises to 42,000 in Gaza

The Health Ministry in Gaza, which is under Hamas control, has reported that the death toll among Palestinians since the onset of the Gaza conflict over a year ago has reached 42,010.

Additionally, 97,720 Palestinians have been injured since October 7, 2023.

Although the figures do not differentiate between civilians and combatants and cannot be independently verified, international bodies like the United Nations generally consider the statistics to be credible.

Recent Israeli military advances have focused on Gaza City’s Shejaiya district and the refugee camps in Jabalia and Nuseirat.

Palestinian rescue workers described the strikes as overwhelming, making it nearly impossible to reach the wounded due to the intensity of the fighting.

According to hospital reports, nine members of a single family were killed during an Israeli airstrike on a residential building.
