Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved two days off duty per week for officers on Grade Levels 01-14, while officers on Grade Levels 15-17 are to maintain one day off per week.
This was stated by the State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, on Wednesday.
Onasanya said, “The gesture is aimed at further easing the burden on workers who now face greater challenges commuting to work. It is expected to provide substantial relief while enhancing service delivery through a more motivated and energised workforce.”
He highlighted Governor Abiodun’s dedication to the well-being of employees.
Onasanya called on all accounting officers to enforce the policy within their individual Ministries, Departments, and Agencies while maintaining service standards.
He mentioned that Governor Abiodun had initially implemented a one-day-off work policy for all grade levels in July 2023, and the recent extension to two days off for GL 01-14 aims to alleviate financial pressure and enhance productivity.
