Obi makes case for Nigerian businesses over harsh, difficult environment

Peter Obi has made a case for Nigerian businesses over the harsh and difficult environment they operate in

The Labour Party (LP) chieftain, Peter Obi has made a case for Nigerian businesses over the harsh and difficult environment they are forced to operate in.

Obi jumped to the defence of Nigerian businesses on Thursday night through a post he shared on his official X account on response to an earlier statement where he was tagged.

An X user, Olajumoke Alawode-James had boarded the same aircraft with Obi but she apparently wasn’t satisfied with the services she got from the airline and decided to call them out.

“I was waiting to land in Lagos before I cuss Air Peace for this 9 hour delay but Peter Obi is on my flight. Let me respect our leader,”  Alawode-James wrote on her X account, @oluwaloninyo.

The former governor of Anambra State responding said: “Thank you, my dear @oluwaloninyo. Let me sincerely apologize on their behalf.

“These days, I have learned to avoid criticizing or getting easily annoyed with Nigerians and in particular, Nigerian businesses, given the harsh and difficult environment they have to navigate.

“The situation in our country demands that we always apply caution as we try to understand each other’s circumstances and factor them into our judgment of them.

“This should act as a reminder that many are doing their best despite the challenging circumstances and that patience and understanding can go a long way.”
