The North West Governors Forum has praised President Bola Tinubu for enacting the North West Development Commission Bill.
Dikko Radda, the Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Katsina State stated on behalf of the group that this landmark decision marks a crucial advancement in tackling the development issues confronting the North West region.
He expressed optimism that this move will also address the longstanding problems of infrastructure decay, security challenges, and socio-economic instability in the North West.
This information was released in a press statement from Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor, and shared with the media on Thursday evening in Katsina.
The statement emphasized the Commission’s responsibility to oversee the rebuilding of roads, homes, and commercial properties, foster industrial growth, and address ecological and environmental issues.

“Our Key focus areas include promoting peace and security, ensuring food security, restoring infrastructure, fostering youth employment, and improving access to quality education and healthcare.”
The statement also noted that the Governors of the North West pledged to collaborate closely with the management of the NWDC.
“Governor Radda reiterated the North West Governors’ commitment to working closely with the NWDC, leveraging its resources and expertise to improve the living standards of residents in the region. He called on all stakeholders, development partners, and citizens to join hands with the Commission in this transformative journey.
