The Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake has said that the Nigeria Mining Week (NMW) has been designed to enhance the sector.

Alake said this on Tuesday in a post he shared on his official X account to announce the date for the Nigeria Mining Week.

“I am pleased to extend a warm invitation to all for the upcoming Nigeria Mining Week, scheduled to take place from the 18th to the 20th of November, 2024,” he said.

“This year’s theme, ‘From The Inside-Out: Building The Mining Sector To Be The Cornerstone of Nigeria’s Economy’ reflects our collective vision to harness the vast potential of our mineral resources to drive sustainable development and economic growth for our nation.”

Alake said the Nigeria Mining Week serves as a pivotal platform for industry stakeholders, investors and mining professionals to engage in meaningful discussions, share innovative ideas and explore collaborative opportunities aimed at transforming the sector.

“The event will address critical issues, showcase technological advancements, and highlight best practices that can enhance the solid minerals sector,” the minister said.

According to him, it is an excellent opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange and forging partnerships that can catalyze the growth of the sector.
