Living Faith Church: Bishop Oyedepo’s deputies, Aremu, Abioye step down

The two Vice Presidents of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Abioye and Bishop Thomas Aremu, are set to retire after serving for over four and three decades, respectively, under the leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo.

Their retirement follows the church’s recently revised operational manual, The Mandate, which now lowers the retirement age from 60 to 55.

Bishop Abioye, currently 63, and Bishop Aremu, 67, are both set to step down under the new guidelines, which permit only Bishop Oyedepo to remain in his position for life.

Future church leaders will be limited to one or two seven-year terms, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees.

Bishop Abioye’s farewell service will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Durumi, Abuja, while Bishop Aremu’s farewell will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at LFC Basorun in Ibadan, Oyo State.
