Lagos Mandates Valet Parking Registration

The Lagos State Government has warned all valet parking service operators in the state, requiring them to register their businesses with the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA).

Valet parking is a service in which guests at a hotel, restaurant, etc., can have their cars parked by an employee.

According to a statement released on Monday, operating a valet parking service without the requisite permit is illegal and will attract hefty fines and penalties.

The government noted the importance of compliance, urging all operators to register their businesses with LASPA immediately.

It further advised valet parking operators to prioritise the safety of their businesses and customers by obtaining the necessary permits.

The government also warned that non-compliance will not be tolerated.

The statement read, “It is mandatory to register your valet parking service with the Lagos State Parking Authority. Operating without a permit is unlawful and may result in fines and penalties. Ensure compliance by registering your valet parking service with the LAGOS STATE PARKING AUTHORITY.
