Governor Hope Uzodinma expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu has the capability to revive Nigeria’s economy and transform it into the fastest-growing one in Africa.
During an interactive session with journalists in Owerri, Uzodinma also donated two brand new 14-seater buses to members of the Correspondents’ Chapel and the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Imo State. He emphasized that journalists should inform Nigerians about the advantages of the policies rather than focusing solely on the negative aspects.
He said;
“Although the populace are experiencing economic hardship occasioned by the policies, they would eventually enjoy the benefits.
“Every discerning Nigerian knows that President Tinubu’s economic policies are sound and that they will salvage the country sooner than later.”
Uzodinma emphasized that President Tinubu’s bold actions to eliminate the fuel subsidy and unify the official and parallel exchange rates were aimed at bolstering the economy.
He expressed regret that, rather than recognizing these efforts, some prominent Nigerians are undermining the administration through the media. He also asserted that although all three major presidential candidates had pledged to end the fuel subsidy, the two who lost the election are now pretending otherwise.
