The media office of former Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State has released a statement addressing the controversy surrounding the Ogun/Guangdong Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and the termination of a management contract.
Daniel, the statement, called for a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing legal and arbitration disputes between a Chinese firm and the Federal Government of Nigeria/Ogun State Government concerning the Ogun/Guangdong Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
Daniel clarified that neither he nor his administration were involved in the ongoing legal matters, which revolve around the termination of a management contract rather than the terms of the FTZ’s establishment.
The former governor noted the sensitivity of the issue, noting that it involves national assets and the collective wealth of Nigeria.
