FG Pledges Nationwide Fix for Federal Roads

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, Aderemi Oseni, stated on Monday that the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, is ready to undertake repairs on all federal roads throughout Nigeria as part of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at easing the hardships faced by the public.

Oseni, who represents the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in Oyo State, made this announcement during his gratitude visit to the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress at Oke-Ado in Ibadan, the capital of the state.

Expressing concern over the poor state of federal roads across the country, the lawmaker urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu and give him additional time to tackle the nation’s issues.

He stated, “Tinubu is not the cause of the challenges we are currently facing, including bad roads across the nation. These issues extend beyond the current administration. Tinubu is working diligently to resolve the problems created by previous administrations. As part of his Renewed Hope Agenda, he is making concerted efforts to repair all federal roads across Nigeria, easing the suffering of the masses.”

While visiting the APC secretariat, Oseni conveyed his sympathies to the party regarding the death of its former Chairman, Isaac Omodewu, and thanked the party members for their backing during his electoral success.

He urged the party to come together in readiness for the 2027 elections, appealing to the executive members to develop a plan for regaining the party’s influence.

Additionally, Oseni contributed N10 million to the party for operational expenses.

In reply, the party’s acting Chairman, Olayide Abas, expressed gratitude to Oseni for coming to the party secretariat and conveyed his appreciation for Oseni’s notable contributions to making a positive difference in his constituency.
