The Europa League has adopted a new format for the 2024/25 season, similar to the changes seen in the Champions League.
Manchester United, as FA Cup winners, and Tottenham, who finished fifth in the Premier League, are among the teams awaiting their opponents, with the draw scheduled for 12 pm UK time on Friday.
This season, the Europa League will feature 36 teams in a single league format.
Each club will play against eight different opponents as they compete to advance to the knockout stage.
An extra play-off round has been introduced before the round of 16.
Teams will face one opponent from each pot, with one match at home and one away. Clubs from the same country will not meet in the league phase, and each team will face a maximum of two opponents from the same nation.
Teams finishing between ninth and 24th place will compete in a two-legged play-off for a spot in the last 16, while those finishing between 25th and 36th will be eliminated from the competition.
