Lazio manager Marco Baroni praised Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, stating that the young midfielder has the potential to become exceptional. Dele-Bashiru delivered an impressive performance in Lazio’s 3-0 UEFA Europa League victory against Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday, contributing a goal and an assist.
Baroni expressed confidence that the 23-year-old Nigerian will continue to improve with more game time.
“When I say he needs to be developed, I mean he must focus more on tactical awareness and understanding the flow of the game, not just when he has the ball at his feet,” Baroni told Sky Sport Italia.
“Once he masters that, Dele-Bashiru will become a top modern midfielder.”
