Falconets midfielder, Philomina Addo Yina, was awarded the Player of the Match after Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Korea in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Group D encounter.
Yina’s outstanding performance earned her the individual accolade, as Flourish Sabastine’s 84th-minute goal secured the win.
This marks Nigeria’s fourth consecutive win over Korea, with previous victories in 2012, 2014, and 2022.
Yina took to social media to express her gratitude, giving praise to God and dedicating the award to her teammates, coaches, family, and Nigerians.She wrote:
