The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast rainy and thundery weather conditions across Nigeria from Monday to Wednesday. According to a weather outlook released in
Abuja, isolated thunderstorms are expected in parts of Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba states in the northern region on Monday morning.
Intermittent rains are predicted in parts of Niger, Benue, Kogi, Kwara states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the morning hours, with localized rains expected in the FCT, Plateau, Niger, and Nasarawa states in the afternoon and evening.
For Tuesday, NiMet forecasts isolated thunderstorms over parts of Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba in the morning, and over Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Yobe, Zamfara, Sokoto, Borno, Taraba, Kebbi, Kano, and Jigawa states later in the day.
The southern region will experience intermittent rains, affecting states like Edo, Ondo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa.
On Wednesday, thunderstorms are anticipated over Kebbi, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, and Katsina in the morning, with isolated storms later in the day across Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kano, and Taraba. Morning rains are expected in the FCT and Niger, with later rainfalls over Nasarawa, Plateau, and Niger states.
Cloudy skies with moderate rains are predicted for the southern region, particularly in Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Imo, Edo, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Cross River states.
