Senate Resumption Postponed: New Date Set for September 24

The Senate is scheduled to reconvene after its annual break on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

The Senate Clerk, Chinedu Akubueze, communicated this information through an internal memo titled “Change in Resumption Date from Summer Break,” which was distributed to all legislators on Wednesday.

The memo indicated that the Red Chamber was originally set to reconvene on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. However, following instructions from the Senate leadership, the resumption has been postponed by one week.

The memo stated that the start date following the current break has been moved from Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 a.m.
