Troops of the Nigerian Army have nabbed a female firearms courier and her accomplice at the Barikin Ladi Motor Park in Plateau State.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama disclosed this on Saturday morning in a post he shared on his official X account.
“In a series of well-coordinated operations, troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully apprehended a female arms courier and dismantled a notorious network of terrorists, seizing a significant cache of weapons and ammunition,” Makama said.
“During these raids and ambushes, numerous terrorists were neutralized and a high-profile terrorist was captured.
“On 17 October, 2024, working alongside other security agencies, troops trailed and arrested a female firearms courier and her accomplice at the Barikin Ladi Motor Park in Plateau State.”
Makama said Intelligence had revealed that this gun-running syndicate was smuggling arms from Plateau to terrorists in Zamfara State.
He said the operation led to the arrest of Fidausu Hassan and Sani Isah Musa from whom the troops recovered 505 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition.
