The Nigerian Police Force have arrested a man identified as Fatai Mogaji for killing his girlfriend, Opeyemi Shoyinka in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The late Opeyemi’s elder sister, Temitope Sadiku whose ID is Temmy456 on X announced the arrest of Mogaji in a post on Monday evening.
“Good evening, friends, My sister’s killer (Fatai Mogaji Abdulsalam) was caught last night at F1 Bar, Ikorodu by well-wishers and Ope’s friends. He has been moved to Panti Police Station,” Sadiku wrote.
“Please we want her to be buried and her killer to face the wrath of the law. Please, friends help me repost till it gets to the right table.
“My family does not have money, even his being caught was by the grace of God and the blood of my sister.”
Sadiku had earlier announced the killing of her sister by Mogaji in an earlier post on her X account on July 13, 2024.
“This Man (Fatai Mogaji) killed my sister (Opeyemi Shoyinka) in cold blood in the early hours of July 10, 2024,” she stated.
“He is on the run, please help me find him. DM me for any information. 19, Road C, Unity Zone, Ladegboye, ikorodu. This is the killer’s address. His family are on the run too.”
The long arm of the law finally caught up with Mogaji who had been on the run as he was apprehended by the police on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
