The Ogun State Government has intensified construction work on the Agbara-Lusada-Atan Road.
According to a post on the official X account of the Ogun State Government on Sunday, the asphalt pavement works are steadily advancing on the road with significant progress observed from Chainage 15+575 to Chainage 15+955, approaching the Atan-Idi-Iroko Junction.
The government said this development marks a key phase in the construction which is aimed at improving the road’s durability and driving conditions.
“Additionally, the installation of a California Type 732 concrete barrier is in progress, stretching from Chainage 6+562 to Chainage 7+650,” the post read.
“This barrier will enhance road safety by effectively separating traffic lanes and reducing the risk of accidents.”
The government said as part of the construction efforts, laterite is also being placed on the left-hand side of the Agbara-Lusada-Atan road.
It added that this layer will serve as a base to stabilize the road, ensuring a solid foundation for the ongoing development.
