Lagos seals off residential property in Abule Egba

The Lagos State Government has sealed off a residential property in Abule Egba due to violation of environmental regulations.

The Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab confirmed this in a post on X on Thursday night.

“The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) on September 12, 2024 has taken decisive action by sealing off a residential property situated on Adetoun Crescent, Abule Egba following a formal complaint from local residents,” Wahab wrote.

“The property was found in violation of environmental regulations by discharging untreated wastewater, resulting in road damage and severe discomfort to the surrounding community.

“LSWMO reiterates its call for residents to report similar infractions and other environmental hazards.”

Wahab said the government remains unwavering in its Zero Tolerance stance on environmental pollution.

According to the commissioner, the government will continue to enforce measures that ensure public health and safety.
