The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion plan on Sura Ramp inward Osborne to facilitate the asphaltic laying of the section of the road.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi made the announcement in a circular dated Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
Osiyemi said the repair work is scheduled for today, Wednesday, August 21 between 10.00 pm and 4.00 am on Thursday, August 22.
“To manage the traffic inflow to the affected section during the repair works, motorists from the Third Mainland Bridge will not be able to turn right to access Osborne,” Osiyemi said.
The commissioner explained that motorists plying the route will move straight to Obalende or Onikan to continue with their journey.
Similarly, motorists from Sura will not be able to access the ramp, they will turn right to connect Onikan and continue their journey.
Osiyemi has also implored motorists to exercise patience as the diversion is part of the traffic management plans for the ongoing rehabilitation works and asphalt pavement of the road section.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation,” the commissioner added.
