The kidnapped former member of the House of Representatives, Joan Amaechi has regained her freedom.
The spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe confirmed Amaechi’s release by her abductors on Saturday morning.
“Police has just officially confirmed Rt. Hon. Joan Onyemaechi (Ada-Anioma) has been released from the den of her abductors …details coming,” Edafe simply noted in an SMS.
The spokesman of the Delta State Police added: “This is confirmed please.” She was kidnapped a few weeks ago in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
