The Borno State Government has established two relief camps to assist individuals who were affected by flood.
This was disclosed by security expert, Zagazola Makama in a post he shared on his X account on Wednesday morning.
“Due to recent flooding in the metropolis, Borno State has established two relief camps to assist affected individuals,” Makama said.
“The BAKASI camp, managed by Ali, Director of Planning at SEMA, is expected to accommodate approximately 10,000 families.
“The DALORI camp will be overseen by Dr. Barkindo, DG of SEMA (07066307878).”
As for relief efforts, Makama said the Borno State Committee on Flood is actively engaged in addressing the situation, focusing on evacuation, provision of relief materials and long-term mitigation strategies.
