Sule Suebebe was a celebrated figure in the Yoruba film industry, known for his comedic talent and memorable roles in movies such as “Suku Suku Bam Bam” and “Ago Kan Oru”. His vibrant personality and unique style endeared him to audiences across Nigeria.
In 2023, Suebebe made headlines when he publicly sought forgiveness for what he described as a reckless lifestyle during his younger years. This heartfelt plea, shared widely on social media, particularly addressed the women he felt he had wronged. The video showed him in a frail state, appealing for financial help to manage his health issues.
Pastor Ademola Amusan, known as Agbala Gabriel, was instrumental in supporting Suebebe during his illness. He not only provided emotional and spiritual support but also helped raise funds for Suebebe’s medical bills and gifted him a new house in 2023.
Throughout his illustrious career, Suebebe featured in over 100 films, making significant contributions to the promotion of Yoruba culture and language. He also worked as a master of ceremonies, TV presenter, and ran a YouTube channel, Suebebe TV, dedicated to Yoruba traditions.
The announcement of his passing was met with an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues alike. Pastor Amusan shared the news on Facebook, writing,
“It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace” .
