The clarification comes after a video of Makinwa and Farouk Umar went viral on social media.

According to her, the ‘supposed husband’ Farouk Umar is her friend.

“I did not get married yesterday, I deeply appreciate all your love and prayers, I see how you all desire for me to settle down and God who is the author of time will do it when he thinks it is right. Yesterday was to honor God,” she wrote on her X handle on Monday.

Recounting her divorce during her birthday thanksgiving some days ago expressed gratitude to God, stating that she thought she was going to die during the process, however, God intervened.

Her words: “Jesus you have comforted me when friends left me. Jesus, you saw me through a divorce. When I thought I was going to die, when I did not know if I was going to wake up the next day, somehow you held me together.
