Satellite internet provider Starlink has revealed an increase in its monthly subscription fees.
In a communication sent to customers on Tuesday, the company stated that the rate increase will impact both existing and prospective users.
The standard residential plan will now be priced at ₦75,000, while the mobile regional (roam unlimited) package will cost ₦167,000, and the mobile global (global roam) package will be priced at ₦717,000.
According to the announcement, the new rates will take effect immediately for new customers and will begin on October 31, 2024, for current users.

The organization linked the increase to “excessive levels of inflation,” which has required modifying service charges to reflect current economic conditions.
“Your monthly service price will increase in one month, starting from 31 October 2024. For new customers, the price increase takes effect immediately,” the message read.
The company added that customers who no longer wish to continue with the service can cancel at any time without any penalties.
